Thankful Thursday

I have decided that trying to sum up a week in a couple of paragraphs (since I try to keep these short) is occasionally futile. This week has been good days and not-so-good days; laughter and rough spots; relaxation and stress. Pretty normal, I guess, if you look at the long view. If you look at the shorter view, I could go into the details, but y’all don’t want to hear that (well, I should say, most of you probably don’t). And I don’t have the time this week anyway.

I am thankful for:

  • those plastic Chinese take-out containers – they are useful for taking leftovers for lunch
  • cooking pan graphic

that I had leftovers to eat for lunch (since it’s just me, I don’t always cook)

  • that my mother taught me how to cook well enough that most of my recipe-less concoctions turn out pretty yummy, even the leftovers – she did teach me how to follow a recipe too, I just don’t do it very often these days
  • new spider plant babies, taken from a discarded plant, that seem to be doing well so far (pictures later)
  • the return of the warm weather for now – it looked like we were going to get an awfully early Fall for a while there. I am not ready for cold yet (am I ever?).

Ok, I hate to rush off, but I really do need to. It turns out I am moving sooner than I thought I was – those of you that know me in real life will be getting the new mailing address by email (don’t worry, it’s just moving to another apartment in the same complex – it is, however, still moving, and as such, is still stressful). Thanks for reading and for sharing your thankfulness!

I am thankful this Thursday for having my CT scan over and done with. 🙂 And for my granddaughter having a new place to move to. Happy moving Ruth!

I’m thankful for spider plant babies too! Since I don’t have room for a garden (very sad face) I have to do houseplants. I’ve gotten five plants out of the one original! Now I will think of you when I water them. 🙂
