Missionary Kid things

Butterfly and leaves, 7/27/13

You know you might be an MK (Missionary Kid) when… after finding your load of laundry still very damp from an apparently broken dryer (and having several years previously moved back to an area of your passport country where there are no readily available outside clotheslines) you are festooning said laundry about your apartment living room and actually think “Well, at least right now I don’t live in a climate where it might mold before it dries.” πŸ™‚ (More YKYMKW fun from last year here.)

The things you learn to appreciate … and the things you never thought you’d miss. πŸ˜› The afternoon run for the clothesline to get them in before the advancing wall of rain hit was always an adrenaline rush, though. πŸ™‚
